What is permanent jewelry?

Permanent jewelry is custom-fit jewelry that is welded together instead of secured with a traditional clasp. The process is quick, painless, and creates a seamless piece designed to be worn every day.
Not at all! The welding process never touches your skin. A protective barrier is placed between your skin and the jewelry while the chain is welded closed.

Does it hurt?
Can permanent jewelry go through airport security?

Yes! Permanent jewelry is made from fine jewelry metals and can safely pass through airport security scanners.
Can I wear permanent jewelry while showering, swimming, or exercising?

Yes! Our jewelry is designed for everyday wear. You can shower, swim, work out, and sleep in your jewelry. As with all jewelry, proper care will help keep it looking its best.
Is permanent jewelry really permanent?

Permanent jewelry is designed for long-term wear, but it can be removed if needed. Simply cut the jump ring with scissors or wire cutters. Many customers save their chain and have it re-welded later.
What if my jewelry breaks?

Life happens! If your chain breaks at the weld point, we'll gladly re-weld it. If a chain is lost or damaged beyond repair, a repair fee or replacement of the chain may be required. Please see the Permanent Jewelry Care & Repair Policy
What if I need to remove my jewelry for a medical reason?

If you need to remove your jewelry, carefully cut the jump ring and save your chain. We can often re-weld it for you afterward.
Will my jewelry tarnish?

Sterling silver may naturally oxidize over time, and gold-filled jewelry may lose some luster with exposure to chemicals, lotions, perfumes, and saltwater. Regular cleaning will help maintain your jewelry's shine.
